Ocean Front Walk (aka Boardwalk) rules

City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation & Parks welcomes you to Venice Beach Ocean Front Walk. This park is for everyone's enjoyment. Please clean up after yourself.

Venice Beach Ocean Front Walk closed from 2:00 AM - 5:00 AM.

Ocean Front Walk Rules:

1. No vending unless exempted under LAMC 42.15
2. No amplified sound unless exempted under LAMC 42.15
3. No dumping, littering LAMC 63.44B.19
4. No overnight parking LAMC 63.44.K.2
5. Authorized vehicles only LAMC 63.44.C
6. No driving or motorized scooter on Ocean Front Walk LAMC 63.44.B.16
7. No bicycles on Ocean Front Walk between Marine Street and Via Marina LAMC 56.15
8. No pedestrians on bike path VC 21966
9. Dogs must be on leash LAMC 63.44.B-2D
10. Dog defecation must be removed by owners LAMC Sec 53.49
11. No graffiti Penal Code 594
12. No fireworks LAMC Sec. 57.5608.1.2, 63.44.B.21
13. No moonbounce or jumpers, no tents, no attached stakes LAMC 63.44.B26, 63.44.D.4, 63.44
14. No alcohol, no smoking, no electronic smoking devices including all tobacco products LAMC 63.44.B.24
15. Umbrellas, sun shades or canopies must be open on all sides and may not exceed eight (8) feet height and ten (10) feet in diameter or width. All umbrellas or sun shades shall be dismantled and removed from the park before the park is closed. LAMC 63.44
16. No remaining in the park past park hours.
